Rainy Day Song

Another rainy day
Makes its way
Down from the sky
And the shivering trees
Swung by the breeze
May wonder why
But soon will be their gain
When green their leaves are made
Then they're not afraid
Of a little rain

Another rainy day
Finds its way
Into my heart
And it cries and pleads
But as it bleeds
Is set apart
And through and past the pain
I find I just want more
And I'm better for
A little rain

Another rainy day
Melts its way into my soul
And as the water swarms
It forms
The smallest hole
And there it plants a grain
I know that I am claimed
No I'm not ashamed
Of a little rain

So when a dry day
Spreads its way
Across the land
With lifted eyes
I search the skies
To understand

Land, don't dry out in vain
Cry out that you might live
Oh what I wouldn't give...

For a little rain
