Repentance (poem)

I have left your arms time and again
To go seek out a perfect friend
I've let the wolves come entertain me
I gave to those who can't contain me
I put my hope in mortal men
A pattern of again, again
Abandon ship, find someone else
But each is taking for themselves
Then broken, battered, beaten, bruised
I ask you why I'm always used
Eventually there's no one left
Who isn't guilty of this theft
And so I cry against these charms
And empty, come back to your arms.

Jesus I love You.
